Great Staff and Menu Outstanding Views over the river and the Poppa Falls. Great Menu and accessible prices for Namibians. Peaceful and quite relaxing atmosphere Great Family getaway lodge with clean camping sites, a children's playground, and amazing chalets over the river.

Lovely, although they tried to cheat Lovely place. Clean, spacious chalets. Beautiful views. Dinner & breakfast exceptional! Boat tour is a must - with drinks and snacks. You see hippos, crocs, birds etc. Pool wonderful. But of course also super expensive to stay here. When we arrived they told us there is „construction“ next to our chalets and wanted to move us to tents. Without refund. We refused of course! Recommended! Most expensive night but worth it.

Very nice Both the hotel and the location are very beautiful and evocative: the hotel is surrounded by well-kept green lawns and lush vegetation, the location is in a bend in the river, not far from two large parks: the Mahango Game Park and the Bwabwata National Park and Popa Falls. Very large rooms with beautiful bathrooms, equipped with every comfort. The terrace overlooking the river is splendid from which to admire the sunset with a glass of prosecco in hand....

Paradise in Divundu We have stayed for the third time at Shametu and , as usual, it was a magnificent experience ! We took some European friends of our for a four day visit to the Caprivi and they had two rooms on the Okavango river edge and my wife, daughter and I had a very nice cottage/house in the bush but not far away at all from the reception and river area. Just a five minute stroll away with a bush path and gravel road to the dining area. The house is simply wonderful and ALL amenities are there for self catering guests. A lapa and braai area are outside to spend your sunsets under when the sun is out at its fullest. The house is fully air conditioned and fitted with , working practical, mosquito nets for the guests who are pestered by these creatures. Although self catering it is cleaned and tidied daily bu the cleaners and this is done "spic and span" ! The area where the rooms are is simply a garden paradise with trees, grass and palm trees, well maintained, all around. The food is really outstanding and in the evenings you usually have a 5 course meal with a choice of two mains and lots of in season veggies ! Really well prepared and good quality ! Staff is really friendly and on their post !! All acivities are run well and on time. A true holiday and paradise in the Caprivi !!! Bart and Hannelie Reiman

Very good lodge directly at the river site The rooms are organized in separate huts, equipes with AC, mosquito net, fridge and good bathing cab-in. A nice pool and restaurant area. Situated directly at the river site, the view - especially the sun downer and sunset - are excellent. A very good choice. Unfortunately, the wireless is pretty weak.

Beautiful We spent 3 nights here. Very nice lodge and super clean rooms. The food was varied and very tasty. The view of the river was unique. We booked 3 game drives through the lodge. Our guide, Erasmus, was brilliant. The boat trip to the hippos and Pops Falls was very entertaining.

Beautiful river property What a wonderful lodge - beautiful property right on the river with a view of Popa Falls. We stayed one night in the tents and two nights in the chalets - both were great, with the chalets being slightly more elevated. What really made this stay special was the staff, everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. We particularly were impressed with Matthew who gave us great recommendations about driving Bwabwata and other facts about the lodge, the area and the animals. Frank our sunset boat driver was also great. Highly recommend the sunset boat cruise - great relaxing way to end a long day. We hope to be back soon!

Good start in Caprivi Very friendly staff, decent food, dedicated guide on the game drive in the Bwabwata NP-Buffalo Core Area; very nice location right next to the Popa Falls of the Kavango. A hole-free mosquito net is missing for the top rating, and the WiFi needs a lot of improvement.

Stunning Magnificent lodge on the banks of the Okavango, the view is splendid. Our waterfront bungalow was very good despite a small shower problem which was quickly resolved. The restaurant is of a very good standard and the food excellent. The staff, very attentive and professional, is also excellent. In short, for an entry into Caprivi it is essential!!!!!!
